Shughart Elementary Celebrates Red Ribbon Week: "Life is a Movie, Film Drug-Free"
Shughart Elementary embraced the spirit of Red Ribbon Week with the engaging theme, "Life is a Movie, Film Drug-Free." Students and staff enthusiastically participated in a series of spirited dress-up days, each day reflecting a different film theme.
The week kicked off with Marvel Movie Monday, where students and staff showcased their favorite superheroes. Tuesday followed with Sleeping Beauties, inviting everyone to relax in their comfy clothes or pajamas. Wednesday's Wild West theme had everyone wearing their best western movie gear, while Thursday wrapped up the week with Throwback Disney Day, featuring classic Disney attire.
Throughout the week, students learned about the importance of living drug-free through various educational activities. They created impactful posters and received drug-free swag from our community partner, the Army Substance Abuse Program. The celebration not only highlighted the fun and creativity of the students but also reinforced the crucial message of making healthy, drug-free choices.
