The DoDEA Student Information System (DSIS) Family Portal will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 25 at 2:00 pm ET until Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 pm ET. Parents and students will not be able to access the system or register students during this time. Registration will resume when the system is reopened on July 10.
Shughart Elementary recently hosted an event called Bingo for Books, bringing together families for an evening of literacy and fun. The event, sponsored by our dedicated PTA, was a huge success and enjoyed by all who attended.
The evening kicked off with Book Character Bingo for the students. Children enthusiastically marked their bingo cards, hoping to spot their favorite book characters. The excitement in the room was evident as students competed to be the first to shout "Bingo!"
As the night progressed, the adults joined in the fun with Traditional Bingo. The competitive spirit was high as numbers were called out. Bingo winners were thrilled when they got to choose their prizes, which included picture books, chapter books, slime, crafts, assorted gift baskets and gift cards.
In addition to the bingo games, there was a coloring station set up for children. This provided a creative outlet for the little ones and kept them entertained throughout the evening.
Overall, Bingo for Books was a wonderful event that brought the Shughart community together. A big thank you to our PTA for organizing such a memorable evening. We look forward to more events like this in the future!
